PROEXPORT / INDUSTRIAL ROLLERS
Polyurethane-Covered Industrial Rollers | PROEXPORT
PROEXPORT polyurethane-covered rollers are high-performance engineering rolls designed for demanding industrial operations requiring superior resistance to mechanical abrasion, cut propagation, and heavy dynamic loads. Formulated from premium hot-cast prepolymers, our PU coverings deliver up to five times the wear resistance of conventional rubber in intensive material handling, metal processing, and wood manufacturing.

LINE PROBLEM SOLVING (PWE)
Precision that Eliminates Line Downtime and Web Defects
At PROEXPORT, we do not simply supply coatings — we solve specific engineering challenges for plant technologists and maintenance leaders.
PRODUCTION CHALLENGE
Line Issue
Rapid mechanical abrasion, debonding of cover from core, and high hysteresis heat buildup under heavy cyclic loads.
PROEXPORT SOLUTION
Engineering Solution
Hot-cast high-resilience polyurethane systems chemically bonded to steel cores using specialized multi-component silane primers.
PLANT ROI RESULT
Measurable Effect
Dramatically reduced rolling resistance, elimination of tread debonding, and 4x extended operational lifespan.
SELECTION & QUALITY CONTROL
Pre-Production Specification & Quality Inspection
Every project — new fabrication or reconditioning — is executed according to strictly defined inspection points:
- Hardness uniformity inspection (DIN ISO 7619-1 / ASTM D2240).
- Zero porosity visual inspection and ultrasonic core bond testing.
- Cylindrical geometry and taper measurement across total barrel length.
- Dynamic balancing up to specified operating RPM (ISO 1940).
Technical Acceptance Standards
| Inspection Dimension | Technical Significance |
|---|---|
| Geometry & Tolerances | Diameter calibration, radial/axial runout, and concentricity of bearing journals. |
| Coating Structure | Durometer Shore/HV verification, nominal thickness, and zero-porosity bonding. |
| Dynamic Balancing | Residual unbalance compensation in ISO 1940 Grade G 2.5 or G 6.3. |
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
When is polyurethane preferred over rubber coverings?
Polyurethane is selected where mechanical abrasion, cut propagation, high nip loads, or high-speed rolling contact would rapidly degrade rubber. It provides superior tear strength and higher load capacity.
Can PU rollers be reground or reprofiled?
Yes. Polyurethane can be precision-ground to tighter dimensional tolerances or grooved with spiral, diamond, or herringbone traction patterns.
